What We’re Making:
Mini Booklets for Mass Make March

These adorable file-folder-style mini booklets are great for:

✔ Tuck spots & pockets in journals
✔ Happy mail gifts
✔ Standalone mini journals
✔ Ephemera storage

And the best part? You can make a whole bunch at once—no fancy tools required!

Step 1: Prepping Your Pages

Start with book pages or any scrap paper you have.

Add color using:

– Distress ink or oxides for a vintage look
– Markers, watercolor, or acrylic paint if you don’t have ink
– Gesso or white acrylic paint to mute bold prints

Glue two pages together to create a sturdier base.

✂️ No die cut? No problem! You can cut the file-folder shape yourself with scissors.

Step 2: Decorating Your Covers

Use the 3-Step Formula for a beautifully layered cover:

✅ Background piece – book page, music sheet, or pattern paper
✅ Second layer – torn paper, lace, or washi tape
✅ Focal point – ephemera, vintage images, or a fussy-cut element

Bonus Tip: Adding ink around the edges makes everything pop!

Step 3: Inside Pages & Pockets

Create space for journaling by adding scraps of lined or coffee-dyed paper.
Add a pocket or tuck spot with a small paper strip or ephemera piece.
Make a simple booklet inside by folding and sewing in a few pages (or just glue them in if sewing isn’t your thing!).
Use mini paper clips or washi tabs for flip-outs and interactive elements.

Extra Embellishments: Make It Shine!

✨ Bling it up with sequins, adhesive gems, or metallic accents.
🖋 Stamp the back with script stamps or vintage designs for a finished look.
📜 Use words or quotes to tie your theme together—fairy-themed words work perfectly for this project!

Final Wrap-Up

With just a little time and some scraps, you can create a whole stack of mini booklets ready to use in your journals or give as gifts. #MassMakeMarch is the perfect time to experiment, and this project is one you’ll want to keep making!
